Trendy Turtlenecks

I can recall being really little and wearing my bedazzled turtlenecks. Once I hit middle school, I viewed turtlenecks as extremely childish and outdated. Surprisingly, for this upcoming winter, it is one of my favorite trends. The key is layering this warm piece with things such as chunky necklaces, oversized jackets, and blazers. It is wearable on and off the runway.

Within the past couple of months, some of my favorite bloggers have posted amazing and original looks with this trend. They will definitely give you ideas on how to make the turtleneck a staple piece in your wardrobe.

2013 VMAs: Fashion Favorites

On August 25, 2013 many beautiful, young, and extremely talented individuals hit MTV's VMA red carpet. For this award show, young celebrities are allowed to have fun with their clothing and accessories choices. Below are my favorites from the night!

My absolute favorite look was worn by Rita Ora. She rocked a gown by Alexandre Vauthier. It is daring and unique. Definitely unlike anything I've ever seen before, which is exactly why I love it!

Shailene Woodley looked absolutely stunning. She kept her Pucci skirt as her statement piece and the rest of her ensemble was really simple. So chic!

I think everyone can agree that Selena Gomez looked gorgeous in Versace. She took on a more mature look. We've been beginning to see a much sexier side of her lately!

Ariana Grande celebrated the end of the summer in an adorable floral dress. She stayed true to her style. Keeping her look young and fresh.

Coco Rocha rocked her new pixie cut. To go along with her new 'do, she wore a Fausto Puglisi leather jacket. This jacket is covered in studs and zippers, so the model kept the rest of her look simple.
Lastly, I have to give props to my girl Snooki. First off, her body looks amazing! And she also chose an extremely flattering and elegant dress. She has definitely come a long way since the Jersey Shore.

Green With Envy

A popular trend that will lead into the fall is the military-inspired color, olive green. Many designers had pops of this shade in their fall 2013 collections.

Although this color is great for fall, there are still ways you can incorporate it into your summer wardrobe. Below is a look I put together that would be perfect for a breezy August day.

Coach for Barbie

I was scrolling through Instagram the other day and Coach posted a photo of an oddly tiny handbag. I thought I was seeing things until I read the caption. Coach will be revealing a Barbie on August 7th with her most stylish handbag yet! The doll has four trendy purse options, each of which are made from real leather. These precious designs will leave you wanting one for yourself.

Bold Leather Look

I have constantly been planning possible outfits for the summer. It feels like it's so far away. The outfit above is one of my favorites! It includes a cropped top from Brandy Melville. My leather skirt is from American Apparel's new leather collection (which I adore). The wedge sneakers are from Steve Madden. Lastly, the cobalt blue bag is Cynthia Rowley.
